Defense of the Russian Distributor of a Major International Electrical Manufacturer in a Patent Infringement Dispute
We defended the Russian distributor of a leading international electrical manufacturer against a patent infringement claim. Plaintiff, Vasily Pilkin, who holds patents for a number of various technological inventions and is notorious for his legal proceedings against major electrical distributors, claimed that our client should stop selling products allegedly infringing his patent rights and pay a compensation for each instance of infringement. Due to efforts of our litigation team including attorneys-at-law and patent attorneys, Vasily Pilkin’s patent underlying his claim was held invalid. The Arbitrazh Court of Moscow upheld that decision of the Chamber for Patent Disputes and its judgment went into effect. Attorney-at-Law Valentin Moiseev represented our client in court.
