Consumer Rights Protection Lawsuit

01.11.2013
A team of AGP lawyers has succeeded in defending interests of its client, a motor vehicle importer, in a consumer rights protection lawsuit. Claimant's demands for reimbursement of car repair expenses, recovery of damages and fine were based on the allegation that the defect which the consumer eliminated by itself was a manufacturing one. In course of the lawsuit it was proved through a number of forensic examinations that the defect occurred as a result of consumer’ non-compliance with the motor-vehicle operation manual – going on driving the car with a signal on the dashboard showing that lubricant oil pressure in the engine was insufficient and warning that further driving was disallowed. Having examined the evidence in the case the court came to the conclusion that the defect was caused by consumer’s behavior and dismissed his claims.
The team of AGP lawyers was led by Attorney-at-Law Valentin Moiseev.
