Placement by a Manufacturer of Distributor’s Name on Product’s Package Does not Constitute an Infringement of its Right to its Company Name

AGP Attorney-at-Law and Trademark Attorney Elena Gorodisskaya has successfully protected interests of a foreign coffee manufacturer who was sued by a Russian company for infringement of its exclusive right to its company name by indicating it on the product’s package as the importer and who claimed damages.
Elena Gorodisskaya has proved that such manufacturer’s actions did not constitute the use of such company name within the meaning of civil legislation, therefore they did not constitute an infringement. The court has dismissed the claims in full.
